Mode of action:

Rapidly absorbed through the foliage. Weak auxin activity as determined in wheat coleoptile elongation test, cucumber root elongation test, cucumber curvature test and ethylene biosynthesis test in soya beans. No influence on Hill reaction. Plant response is similar to IAA or auxin-type herbicides of the class of benzoic acids and pyridine compounds.

Advantage:

Non-volatile. Soluble in water. High mobility in soil, degraded by micro-organisms.

Highly effective against barnyard grass. Quick knockdown effect.

Long spraying period. Safe to rice.

Direction for use:

Apply to actively growing barnyard grass at 2-3 leaf stage and 7-20 days after transplanting.
To ensure rice plants exposed above water surface. Drain paddy water before application, and keep field at moist or non-flooded condition.1-2 Days later of the application, irrigating to keep water level 3 – 5 cm for 5-7 days.
Phytotoxic to umbelliferous crops, like celery, carrot, caraway, etc.
Non-phytotoxic to transplanted and direct-seeded rice. Under continuous irrigation conditions, injury may occur in adjacent umbelliferous crops if connected to the same waterway.
